Andrew, an already established innovative designer, takes his originality and concern further. He shows us that we can be fashionable and take care of our environment in one symbiotic relationship. The organic line achieves the title of ethical fashion by using organic cotton. Those who are familiar with the agricultural practices of conventional cotton know the damage that growing methods place on the environment. Andrew says he feels "it is important for people to know the effects that chemicals and pesticides are having on our environment and our health." Today, it is estimated that less than 10% of the chemicals applied to cotton accomplish their task. The rest of these harmful unwanted chemicals are absorbed into other pants, air, soil, water and eventually, our bodies. These chemicals are so harmful the EPA considers 7 of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton as "likely" of "known" human carcinogens. Andrew believes "that's reason enough to wear organic cotton underwear, and our organic cotton is Supima cotton so it's much softer than regular cotton."
