It's not uncommon for all of us to put ourselves on the back burner for others, but you know what? That needs to stop! I mean, we're not saying to be 100% about yourself 100% of the time, but there needs to be some give and take, some days where you just treat yourself and focus on some much needed self-care. That's why we're here to suggest the best ways to get your self-care on and thrive.

Spa Day

What's better than a day of rest and relaxation where all you have to do is sit there and let everyone else do the work? I mean, it can't get better than that, right?

Deep Massage

Say you don't want to spend all day in mud with cucumbers on your eyes, that's okay. We got you. You can always opt out and head off for an hour massage. Don't skimp on yourself and do one of those 15 minute ones in the middle of the mall food court either. Go for the full body, ass out on the table for an hour one. You'll thank us when you do.

Jerk Off

You don't always have to leave the comfort of your home to feel relieved. At first we were going to recommend fucking someone but then realized, this is about SELF-care and we don't want you worrying about anyone else's cumshot but your own. So dim the lights, put on your favorite porn, and do your thing.

Get Shrunk

Sometimes it's not your body that needs all the attention, but your mind. If your insurance doesn't cover it, don't think it's not for you and out of the question. There are free resources to take full advantage of out there.

Sleep

We've all heard about the necessary eight hours a night tale, but really, who is doing that on a regular basis? Between work, stress, stress eating, trying to have a social life, and stressing some more...when does one find the time to sleep? Exactly. So sometimes it's as easy as closing your eyes and saying adios to the world around you for some much needed catch up when it comes to the sleep department.

Head Out Solo

No, we're not saying to jerk off again. I mean, you totally can while you're on a solo vacation but what's important here is to focus on planning and executing a trip that's all about you. It can be a pain in the ass to take a trip with people. Debating where everyone wants to eat, stay, shit. Ugh, the horror of a group trip! Take that horror and put it aside and just go alone.

Pump It Up

Did we not learn anything from Elle Woods? Exercise releases endorphins and endorphins make you happy. Enough said. But really, working out is hard for those who don't do it on the reg, but once you do complete that dreaded spin class you've been putting off for weeks, you'll feel accomplished AF!

Open the Library

We're not saying to go on and read all your friends to filth! No, pick up a damn book and educate yourself on something outside of reality TV drama for a change.

Get Clean

Not sure about you but when my place is a mess, I cannot function. Every morning I have to straighten up before I work, but perhaps you don't have the time to do that or haven't realized that an unkempt home can be bad for your mind. Take a few hours from your weekend and get to work cleaning and organizing your home. Decluttering the home can in turn declutter that mess of a mind you have going on.

Log Off

Now that you're done reading through this, it's time to read a few more pieces on here and then turn off all your electronics and get offline for the day, especially social media. Everything from Facebook to Twitter to Instagram has a way of making you question your safety, self-worth, and all around sanity. Just step away from the device now and take in the world around you.
