Porn has had a steady increase in viewership annually since 2007. So with a constant upward flow of consumers intently watching porn, I’m assuming that there has to be is a significant amount of men that’s getting the blood flowing to their dicks as well and are jerking off on a regular, consistent basis. They certainly aren’t just tuning in for the well thought out storylines. I mean, porn and masturbation — the two go hand in hand. Or should I say dick in hand. You get the point!

But is there such a thing as too much masturbation? Is jerking off once a day or several times a week healthy? Both from a scientific and social aspect. Can chronic masturbation ruin your sex life?

The answer? Both yes and no. Physically, moderate to excessive masturbation has almost no harm to your health. While it can lower testosterone levels, it is a very minor side effect. Studies have shown that bussing a nut helps to lower your blood pressure and mitigates the risk of prostate cancer. It also relieves stress, sexual tension and is a mood enhancer. Aside from some very mild soreness and/or irritated skin, your dick will be alright. Your sperm count will be fine, as the male body reproduces sperm on a daily basis (unless there is a pre-existing condition that effects your sperm count).

In terms of sexual relationships, either with fuck buddies or your significant other - yes, excessive masturbation can impact your sex life. But only if you allow it to. It’s important to keep in mind that excessively beating your dick only becomes a problem if it’s impacting your social life and sexual relationships in a negative way. Watching your favorite porn and edging your dick, exactly the way you like it — be it with your hand or some sort of fleshlight, can definitely spoil you. It can make you become sexually reclusive, whether its just a random hookup, a regular fuck buddy or your partner. Your body can say yes but mentally, you aren’t there. And if you don’t have that mind to dick connection — guess what, it ain’t happening. You also could just be jerking off too much to where you physically can’t get and/or maintain an erection, that thang is sore! He’s tired, he needs some rest.

If you start to experience these behavioral patterns when it comes to intercourse with other people, then you may need to implement some balance into your life. Masturbate in moderation. Mix up your routine a bit. You know, maybe add in some human “bussy” instead of one that’s made of silicone.
