Rhea Litre is drag’s baddest bitch…she doesn’t conform to mainstream drag and doesn’t give a fuck what you think about her. She is a queen that actually performs, she is a singer/songwriter, rapper, and in-demand DJ. She is a fixture in West Hollywood’s nightlife but can be found popping up all over the globe causing shenanigans, flirting with the boys, and maybe nursing a hangover. She has made a name for herself and despite being separate from mainstream drag, can often be found appearing alongside some of Drag Race’s most popular names.

To get us into the Halloween mood, she and entertainment hottie Bobby Newberry have given birth to their new song, “Freak,” encouraging listeners to release their inner FREAK out and let ‘it fly; to be authentic and unapologetic in yourself. The song and its video also motivate listeners to dance, sweat, and have a fun time. Bobby started as the choreographer for Eminem and went on to work with a string of the world’s top artists including Nicki Minaj, The Pussycat Dolls, Missy Elliot, and Lil’ Wayne. The two make a formidable force…and sexy AF.

Rhea stopped by to spill the tea in this Andrew Christian exclusive as we chatted hookups, undies, and even foreskin!

How would you describe your drag?

I am your Nightlife Diva Superhero. There is nothing I can’t do when it comes to producing a fun, queer experience. My last EP “BuckBonkey” is very definitive to who I am. I am here to let you know that it’s OK to come out to your local gay bar, make a friend, and let your “Freak” flag fly! And always Rheamember: Tip Your Go-Go Dancers <3

What sets you apart from the rest of the drag community?

I really enjoy creating platforms for young drag artists. I wouldn’t be here if someone didn’t give me the opportunity to be on stage, perfect my craft, and let me do my thing. I produce MAKEOUT MONDAYZ at Roccos in West Hollywood, and we do just that! If you are ever in West Hollywood and looking to catch some real, raw, drag talent catch our show at midnight, you will not be disappointed!

Do you remember the first time you did drag?

Absolutely! I was sitting on Morgan McMichael's bedroom floor while my Drag Mother, Mayhem Miller, painted me for the first time. You could tell me nothing! That night, Mayhem entered me into the Iconic Drag Competition “Drag Idol” in Upland. I won that night and the rest is herstory! I didn’t know that I was going to be a drag performer, but I knew drag was going to be a huge part of my life.

What is your take on the whole Drag Race phenomenon as it relates to the evolution of drag culture?

RuPaul’s Drag Race is my favorite show on TV. Before I’m a drag queen, I am a drag fan! I’m so grateful I got my chance to shine on the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3 Casting Episode and did a death drop that made RuPaul gag. Because of what RuPaul and World Of Wonder have created, I have been able to reap the benefits indirectly. More people are exposed to drag and (for the most part) respect it for the art form that it is! Drag is for everyone. I strongly encourage everyone to do drag at least once. It is the most powerful thing you will ever experience.

How did you get the confidence to start letting your inner freak flag fly?

My mom was very supportive at an early age for me to be authentically me. So, in retrospect, I’ve always been a FREAK! But when I moved to Los Angeles back in 2002, I saw people like me, I knew I wasn’t alone and that’s when shit really hit the fan. I pulled out my scissors and made jean chaps and hit it to West Hollywood. Shout out to Tom Whitman who gave me my first nightclub gig: flyering outside of RAGE. The best thing that ever happened to me.

What is your coming-out story?

I was 18 and my little sister was being a bitch and threatened me, so I slapped her in the face. To get away from my mom whooping my ass, I came out. Lol - Her response: NO SHIT.

What do you love most about doing drag?

Free drinks & drugs. Lol jk ;) I LOVE TO TRAVEL. Doing drag has enabled me to perform on some of the biggest stages in the world! From Sydney’s Mardi Gras, to World Pride, to Londons Iconic G-A-Y. I have been able to see the world and perform on stages that legends have performed on. Coming from the Blue Roof Projects in San Diego, I never thought this was possible, I never knew my dreams would come true.

What is your least favorite part about doing drag?

Lace-front hairlines. I absolutely despise cleaning a lace front. It's so annoying! Ladies, are ya with me!?

Ok, spill the tea...have you ever hooked up in drag?

You’re kidding, right!? Get into this story: I was Miami Beach Pride this weekend with Bobby Newberry and Sam J Garfield to premiere our new track “FREAK”. One late night I was at my favorite bar in the world, Twist (If you have never had a Twist experience, book a trip now!) I was dressed in a custom Marco Marco leopard catsuit with a face mask and tail included. This fine Latino man comes up to me, gives me the eye, and puts his hand around my waist. I looked to my bartender, Pavel, and said, “Check, please!” and grabbed him by the hand and took him to the Axel Hotel (my favorite gay hotel in South Beach). HONEY! I kept the suit on, He ripped my tights open and as he began to live his fantasy, I began to live mine! I started meowing with each thrust while kneading the pillow in front of me. Right before he shot, I reached behind me and shoved my cat tail in his mouth. It was the ULTIMATE FANTASY!…. Alexa, play “Meow” by Todrick Hall and Rhea Litre.

What is the sexiest part of a guy's body?

His foreskin, I love it so much I wrote a song about it with my Breast Friend, Willam. It’s called “UCC” from her album “Shartistry In Motion,” a Parody of Beyonce’s “Love On Top”

Lyrics include:
“C'mon, daddy, it's you
You're the one I need so hard
Bring the milkshake to my yard
When you cum I won't waste a drop
Daddy, please, gimme that uncut cock”

What can a guy do to get your attention, apart from the other guys?

Give me attention, be kind, and bring me a drink, tequila neat, 4 limes, please!

What did you learn the most from Bobby Newberry from working on “FREAK”?

Bobby Newberry has such an amazing balance of talent, work ethic, and dedication to the art of his craft. This is not a game, this is real life and Bobby Newberry just got started! I'm so inspired by the hustle and I am so grateful to experience this “Ride” with him and Sam J Garfield.
Siri, play “Ride” by Bobby Newberry.

What is the freakiest thing about you?

I'm a Scorpio. I'm an open book, I'll try anything 10 times, and I am always Rheady for more. Are you Rheady for me?

“Gimmie More, I need a lot” - “FREAK”

Where is the freakiest place you've hooked up? When I was flyering for Tom Whitman as a gorg’d young human, I used to meet up with a boy at the West Hollywood Park and we would do sex in the children’s tube slide. Same time, same place. Every week. He was so hot, I looooooved him… The one that got away… ;)

What is your message to your fans?

Be kind. Stay humble. And most of all, STOP WAITING. Everything is yours but you must go out and get it. Do not wait for that phone call, stop depending on other people. YOU GOT THIS! I am rooting for you and please go support your local queer communities! Tip that Queen! Tip that Go-Go! We need you! Come out and play with us! And most importantly, When in doubt, FREAK them out!

If you were to design a pair of Andrew Christian underwear, what would they look like?

Black and White with lips all over with a detachable thong and jockstrap. I love a thong jockstrap combo. SO HOT!
