When the hell does Alaska sleep? Of course, we know her from Drag Race, but this queen continues to dominate the entertainment industry as a singer, actor, and author. Her latest collab, aptly titled Mighty Legendary, puts her alongside Honey Davenport and a bevy of hot guys from Mistr (get your Prep!) for the bop of the season that has already been remixed more times than a Real Housewife’s face. Part of the video was filmed at the Trixie Motel in Palm Springs, but the heat really comes from these two drag legends. In some kind of shade moment, YouTube restricted the video to age 18+ access. Why??? Yes, there are sexy boys in undies and yes, these drag queens slay, but there is no reason for it to have been restricted. We’ve seen a lot more skin from the straight community that goes unrestricted. How many times do we need to shout from the rooftops, DRAG IS NOT A CRIME? GAY IS NOT A CRIME?

Anywhooo, we got a few moments with Alaska to spill the tea about it all for this Andrew Christian exclusive.

What makes someone Legendary?

Jackie Beat says "Legendary" means you're still alive.

Who are some of the legends who have inspired you?

Jackie Beat, Lady Bunny, RuPaul, Dina Martina.

Your collab with Honey for Mistr is fire! Why is it important to celebrate our sexuality in such an open way?

I don't think the song is overtly sexual. I think it's just cunty and fierce. But I support celebrating one's unique sexuality in any way possible.

What was your first exposure to drag?

There was a drag queen named Amanda Love in Pittsburgh. Or maybe Morgantown West Virginia. She was performing a song and I was confused as to why she was lip-syncing because the only Drag I had seen was on The Birdcage where Starina sang live.

What was your first professional gig in drag? How did it go?

I did the Fish Bowl Contest hosted by Chi Chi LaRue. The prize was $200. I won. So, I felt very rich that day.

How is Alaska the person most different than Alaska on stage or on screen?

They're not that different. But Alaska draws way more attention to herself.

If you were to create a challenge for Drag Race, what would it be?

Something with a real-life application. Like producing and directing a music video, having all of the tools available to you, and deciding how you want it to look.

How have you changed the most since starting drag?

I'm not just doing it for myself anymore. I'm doing it for a world that needs Drag.

What is the most undrag thing you do in life or hobby you have?

I'm a nudist and I like going to clothing-optional destinations and not wearing any clothes.

What kind of underwear do you love seeing on a guy the most?

Honestly, boxers are so hot.

What kind of underwear are you wearing on date night?

Like a fierce brief with flowers on it or something.

If you were to design a pair of Andrew Christian underwear, what would they look like?

They'd be really feminine and colorful and gay.

What is your message to the LGBTQ community?

Tax the billionaires. Free universal healthcare for all. 4-day work week.
