From his early start in Hunkamania at the age of 18, dancer JoJo Guadagno has been bringing the heat to nightlife, social media, and TV. Titled the Prince of Twerk, he has been shaking his thang on Bravo TV’s Vanderpump Rules and in May will be seen as a judge on veteran entertainment gay Jonny McGovern’s new competition show, Go-Go for the Gold, a Drag Race-esque take on the world of go-go dancers with a focus on inclusivity.
This East Coast Italian made his move to Los Angeles at the age of 19, and Weho nightlife has never been the same. He quickly became a part of the SoCal LGBTQ community and, with a strong support system from his drag family. Even though the focus is on his…assets, he’s a bit more innocent than you would believe. Or is he?

Do you remember the first time you twerked?
I came out of the womb Twerking! I was the kid at all the school dances bussing down in the middle of everyone!
When did you first realize your booty had the power to hypnotize?
I realized my booty had the power to hypnotize when I hypnotized Big Freedia to pay my rent from one of my twerk videos.
What are the biggest assumptions people make about you?
The biggest assumption people make about me is that I’m an overly sexual person! I’m actually not at all! I definitely love to get sexy when I dance but when it comes to love and sex, I want to save myself for my future husband.
What do you love most about LGBTQ nightlife?
I love the love and acceptance everyone has for each other! LGBTQ nightlife is the one place you can go wearing whatever you want and acting however you want!
What are love and dating like for you right now?
It ain’t easy to tie down The Prince of Twerk. Not because I don’t want to be tied down… I’m just a lot to handle!
Is twerking around to stay?
Twerking will always be a part of my life! It’s not about money and attention… it’s literally who I am.
Do you ever feel overshadowed by your twerking?
My personality is too big and loud to be overshadowed. One thing about me is you always know when I enter the room; you will hear me the second I walk in. The twerking is just a bonus!
What celebrity would you most want to teach how to twerk?
I definitely want to teach my girl Lisa Vanderpump how to twerk! Although every time I mention it to her she just laughs and tells me she should be teaching me.
What celebrity would you most want to smash?
I guess because he was my first celebrity crush, I’m gonna have to say Channing Tatum!
What’s a perfect 1st date for you?
Something fun and adventurous but still intimate enough to get to know each other! The arcade is a perfect example!
What is your worst date story?
Someone got up and left me on a date because he didn’t like that I’m more serious and reserved in person than I come across on social media.
What do you notice about a man first?
I definitely notice swag first. The way a man carries himself is super important to me.
What are the biggest red flags that you will not ignore?
Poor communication. Don’t ever expect a double text from me.
What do your DMs look like?
Hella straight women trying to convert me.
What can we expect from Go-Go for the Gold?
A crazy, unpredictable, intense dance competition between hot men.
What’s the biggest advice you can give to a go-go boy?
Treat every second you’re on stage like you are being auditioned by the top casting agency in the world! You never know who is watching you!
Would you want to be in a reality show that is focused on your life?
Absolutely! And I think it needs to happen real soon! My life is insane!
Would you ever start an OnlyFans?
I never say never! So maybe later in life! But definitely not any time in the near future!
If you were to design a pair of Andrew Christians, what would they look like?
Green, white, and red! A pair to represent My Italian culture! Something a Guido would wear!
