Put the kids to bed, Lady Camden is sharing her “Dirtiest Secrets!” Adding some heat to her brand, Lady Camden pushes the limits with her latest single, “Dirtiest Secrets.” Performing alongside scantily clad men, she celebrates sensuality and sexuality with this end-of-summer bop. Like you’ve never seen her before, she is a SEX BOMB. Not leaving much to the imagination, she is presented in all her glory with leather and spikes barely covering her lithe form.

Her performing career started long before she appeared on Season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She studied at the Royal Ballet School in London, then danced with the Slovak National Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, and later with San Francisco’s Smuin Ballet. Of course, we remember her nail-biting finale lip-synch battle with Willow Pill, taking home the runner-up prize. She is grace and elegance, with a dash of naughtiness.

We are obsessed with her latest release, and girl, have you checked out her Learning S#!T series? Loves it. We caught up with the Lady herself for a quickie five questions exclusively for Andrew Christian.

What was the inspiration for making Dirtiest Secrets?

You really want to know? Lol, okay. I used to hook up with a guy in San Francisco who would ask me to wear feminine clothes. We would bump into each other at a local club and he’d pretend he was just there to hang out and not fuss with anyone. Essentially pretending we didn’t know each other. He’d then text me and tell me to meet him at my place. I’d ask what colors he was in the mood for. Red? Pink? White? Leather? Masculine was sometimes the order of choice too. It was fun.

What is your dirtiest secret?

Well, it wouldn’t be a secret then would it? Come on now.

How have you changed the most since joining the Drag Race family?

Drag Race taught me to trust my instincts and to believe in who I am. Since then I’ve been pushing myself to take a risk once in a while. “Dirtiest Secrets” is a good example of a risk that paid off… look how much fun that was!! As a result, I’m having more fun on stage and honestly… off stage too. You experience a lot less anxiety when you stop giving a f* about what people think of you and trust that they love you.

What sets you apart from other Queens in the industry?

I don’t think I come from a typical drag Queen rite of passage. My goal was never to look perfect, it was always to have fun outside of a tough ballet dancer schedule. A childhood in London combined with an adulthood in San Francisco meshed to create Camden. My goal was concepts and references that sparked joy in my 9-year-old self combined with a newfound San Franciscan freedom. I just happen to be a classically trained dancer too which helped. I care less about looking polished or being fashionable and more about feeling like a rockstar.

What is your message to the LGBTQ community?

What are you waiting for? Let your nine-year-old self enjoy the things around you that you’ve built and let yourself go. Growing up queer sucks because you’re taught to be less, do less. Blend. Once I started to imagine what young baby me would think if he knew what I’d be doing now, it changed everything. Every moment on stage is precious now. Let yourself enjoy all of this and be queer AF!
