Paul Wagner has been in the adult industry for 15 years. First appearing for Sean Cody, he quickly got picked up as Hot House exclusive and then started working for other studios, becoming a hardcore fan favorite. He’s filmed all kinds of scenarios, including some fun kink content, and appeared with a long list of big-name costars. This season, he marks his first return in over a decade to Raging Stallions for their hit, sex-thriller film Overdrive.
Overdrive, co-directed by industry faves Ben Rush and Steve Cruz, follows the story of a rideshare driver getting his revenge on a rider who got him fired. That is putting it mildly. It’s an intense project where sex, stalking, and drama go hand in hand (and sometimes mouth in mouth). Paul Wagner as the customer and Derek Kage as the driver pretty much set the screen on fire with their passion. Rumor has it, they couldn’t keep their hands (and other body parts) to themselves even before filming started.
We caught up with industry vet Paul for this Andrew Christian exclusive to chat about it all!
How did you first get into the adult industry?
I got into this business because a recruiter for Sean Cody found one of my social media profiles and reached out. I thought it would be an interesting experience and decided to give it a try. I had a fun time when I did it, and the rest is kind of history.
You’ve been in the business for almost 15 years! How has the industry changed the most?
Geez, this business is nothing like it was when I started. I think that it’s a lot more common these days to do something that involves porn, like OnlyFans. It’s much easier to connect with fans, and you have more creative control over what you put out there.
What do you love most about being a porn star?
I get to travel a lot and have sex with a lot of hot guys.
What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced being part of the industry?
That’s a hard one to answer; so many things have come up over the years. I’d probably say not getting burned out and making sure that I focus on things other than just making videos and social media. I try to stay authentic to the person I am rather than be what people might want me to be.
What is your favorite kind of scene to film?
I like to film the kinds of scenes I would want to jerk off to. Very natural, real, passionate – amateur kind of stuff.
How is the sex you have off-camera most different from the sex you have on camera?
Off-camera, I don’t have people talking to me nor do I have to worry about the penetration being visible, the lighting, etc. So, it’s a lot more enjoyable. Haha.
Who has been one of your favorite costars?
Derek Kage was a great co-star. I also love Sir Peter; he’s so sexy and such a sweetheart.
We LOVE Overdrive, your latest film with Raging Stallion. What did you love most about working on that project?
Overdrive was a blast to film. I haven’t worked with Raging Stallion in a long time, and this was a great opportunity to work for the brand again. Everyone who worked on the movie really made the whole experience a lot of fun. I think the acting/storyline aspect of the film is a lot of fun. It’s something different to do creatively than just fucking on-camera – and that’s a nice change. It's action-packed. LOL.
What body part on Derek Kage is your favorite?
Geez, it’s hard to choose just one; there’s so much to love on that guy. The thing right off the bat that I’m most drawn to is his eyes – I love to look him in the eyes. I’ve always been a sucker for a guy with light eyes. After that, Derek has an amazing big ass and a nice dick to boot.
Have you ever dealt with a stalker in real life?
Knock on wood, not really. I have dealt with people who probably have the best intentions but don’t seem to understand or respect what lines not to cross and my privacy – but nothing that has ever made me feel uncomfortable or unsafe. The biggest thing I’ve found that I’ve had to deal with over the last few years is the impersonators on the internet. These people have gotten very creative and try to scam people by pretending to be me. I thought it would have been obvious, but a heads-up to everyone out there: There is NOT a real government-issued ID with my face and the name Paul Wagner. Even if there were, I would not be dumb enough to send it to complete strangers. There are a million other ways to prove my identity. Don’t fall for it!
What kind of underwear are you wearing around the house on a day off?
I don’t wear a ton of underwear. I’m commando a lot. When I do wear it, I like very plain, understated underwear. My favorite is a particular style of Hanes.
What kind of underwear are you wearing on date night?
The same as I wear day-to-day. No one’s looking at my underwear – after the date, nothing is staying on for long. LOL.
If you were to design a pair of Andrew Christian underwear, what would they look like?
It would be a very simple, single-color standard brief.
