What was the conversation like with Ricky when you guys decided to get into porn?

I hate to say it because it’s the old trope that every relationship counselor pedals, but it’s true that communication is key. Look, we all have moments of falling in love – maybe head over heels – but then we say reality hits and it’s not as good a match as we first thought. The truth is we just have to be willing to take the ride. Nobody will ever continue to be the person you met the moment you fell in love with them. You don’t plan on being that person forever either. You want to change, and you want your partner to change. Communication is the part of the change that allows you to stay on the same track and not lose what you once had. We have pillow talks before bed where we get everything off our chest. We found that we tend to put too much emotion and affect in our words during the day, but in the quiet of the night, we are more precise with our words and communication flows more easily. This is a time when we can voice concerns about things to come, anger with something that was said or done, or hope for a new path that we want to share with our partner. Even if there is no solution at the end of the pillow talk, we feel heard and are able to make better decisions in the future with each other in mind.

Where's the craziest place you guys have fucked?

We have fucked on every inch of every tile of every house we’ve lived in (including the back yard, pool, and garage). But we’re not big into public play. The craziest place (by my standards of being more awesome than crazy), was in a secluded hot spring in the mountains between Idaho and Montana. What does your diet consist of to keep your body in shape?

I have always been a pretty body-conscious guy. Before doing porn, I was a fitness model for 7 years. I began observing a whole-food, plant-based diet as well as practicing intermittent fasting. I only eat as much meat as is necessary to maintain muscle to fat ratio, but I'm honestly trying to steer closer to pescetarianism (hopefully one day vegan). I maintain a regular workout routine of 4 HIIT workouts a week and 4 weight lifting workouts a week. I also like to sprinkle in hiking, biking, soccer, and snowboarding for cross-training. But I do have a few tricks I like to use to prepare me for a studio film or photoshoot. Three days before the shoot, I cut out sugars and alcohol. I limit my complex carb intake and increase my protein and fat intake. I also increase my water. Then on the day of the shoot, I eat doughnuts (they digest slowly, but burn quickly to add a pumped look to my freshly worked out muscles). I also get a tan cocktail two days before a big shoot so my skin is not too starkly contrasted with my costars (I am notoriously pasty). If it’s a bottoming scene… well, you can guess how some things would be different. There’s certainly no food being consumed in the morning. I do the sugar dump at night before the shoot. Then douche, take an Immodium, douche the next morning, and then take two Imodium to make sure the shoot goes off without a hitch. I even douche if it’s just a photoshoot because it takes away any bloating in the lower abs.

What is one random fact about you that fans would be surprised to hear?

I was accepted to volunteer my services in the Peace Corps. It was a childhood dream of mine to volunteer in Peru where my best friend’s family was from growing up. I heard stories from his dad about how much of an impact volunteers had on the communities that lived in the Andes mountains with little access to healthcare or technology that could improve their quality of life. I was selected to help out with youth community development efforts as well as teach some English courses in the Peruvian Andes. I was just finishing up interviews, and about to start planning my trip when I met Ricky. Our love for each other was too strong to separate so quickly, so I put the peace corps off for another time. The application stays at the same point in the process for up to 5 years, and even after that point, there is a fast track process for previously selected candidates. So I figured it could be something we do together someday. Now I know of dozens more non-profit organizations similar to the Peace Corps, and we both definitely intend to take that journey someday. It helps that Ricky is a Registered Hygienist, so he is a shoo-in for these kinds of organizations.
