Which is Better: AMATEUR Or PROFESSIONAL Porn?

Porn has been around for a very long time (almost as long as the worlds oldest profession, kind of). “A L'Ecu d'Or ou la bonne auberge” — widely considered to be the first X-rated pornographic film, was released in France in 1908. Oh, those Frenchmen — it’s just something about their accents… and girth. And ever since The Golden Age of Porn (1970s), where major adult studios birthed porn legends like Jeff Stryker, porn has made even (arguably) greater strides.

While many consider some of those films to be classics (and it’s absolutely still worthy of a watch, or a wank), the internet has allowed studios and individuals to churn out content quicker than a virgin in something warm and tight. So with an abundance of content out there, I ask the question — which is better; Amateur or Professional porn?

Push come to shove, both types of porn can lead to a happy ending. You may even see some of your favorite porn stars working all angles of the industry — which is now possible because of several content creator platforms that allows individuals to upload their own original content for a certain price. You may also log onto your favorite adult site and see that same performer busting it wide open on a well lit, professional set.

Professional porn definitely has certain qualities that amateur just simply doesn’t. A budget for starters. Seeing people fuck in a well lit, clean and aesthetically pleasing set — is kind of a plus in my book. The clear 4K camera quality doesn’t hurt either. And if you came for a money shot or a breeding (creampie), then you know that professional shoot is going to capture it. Professional porn usually has all of the “pretty boy” adult actors. So if that’s your thing, pro porn may definitely suit you better.

According to one of the worlds’ most popular adult sites, a survey conducted in 2017 showed that amateur porn has been a leader in the “search engine” since 2007. Maybe people were craving something different from the crafted (and sometimes cheesy) storylines. The “coach and the athlete” or the “submissive versus dominant interracial” scenarios… sure they’re hot — but I do think people who view porn became more curious about real life, human interactions.

Anonymous fucking, public play, actual gloryholes, couples — amateur porn has allowed regular people to live out their wildest, voyeuristic fantasies. And apparently, there are a ton of people who’s willing to watch. I personally don’t think there is anything hotter, than seeing some random guy getting serviced on his lunch break by an eager guy who can “host” or meet up at a gloryhole. Now obviously, consent means everything and you should have all parties involved permission to record. But once you get that shit out of the way, oh baby, it’s on!

However, some may argue that amateur content creators of today are super producing their original content a bit too much — and it’s losing a bit of that raw, real-life appeal that it originally had. My advice, stay away from all of those super popular Twitter personalities. It’s now a business for them — and while I certainly want all sex workers and content creators to make their money, often times they tend to stray away from what made them popular to begin with. But there are tons of voyeurs out there who enjoy just putting on a lowkey, humble show. Dirty laundry in the corner of their room and all.

So I guess, there really is no straight forward answer as to which type of porn is better. They both certainly serve their purpose and have heir own dedicated audience. Maybe you like a mix of both.
