How To Keep Your Sex Appeal with Each Passing Year
Article written by Kendra Beltran
If there is one thing we can’t stop, it’s our biological clock. Every day we get a little bit older and
despite how we try and act, our bodies and looks don’t always understand to age a little slower.
With that, getting older doesn’t mean you have to suddenly rock orthopedic shoes and those
clunky cardigans that do nothing for anyone’s shape. You can age gracefully and retain your sex
appeal by taking some sage advice from us below.
Don’t Dye
When you have a few gray hairs here and there, go ahead and have those touched up but once
you start to sprout a whole new hue - stop. Just allow your hair to shine in a whole new light.
Especially if you have a lot of locks. Embrace the silver fox aesthetic because oftentimes it’s
way too obvious when someone has tried to cover up their aging hair and that only results in
looking a lot older!
Bald Is Beautiful
If you notice your hair thinning, just rock that Stanley Tucci lifestyle and go bald. Bald spots can
add years to your overall look. Make that bald spot obsolete by just shaving everything off, and
if you don’t like that bald look? Start thinking about becoming a hat person.
Skincare is Self-Care
Having a skincare routine is all too important, especially as the years start to stack up. It’s
important to note that what works for your best friend may not work for you, so you need to get
right with your own skin to ensure it stays pristine well into your golden years.
Power of the Beard
When it comes to facial hair, it can really act like natural photoshop. If you’re considering
changing up your look as you get older, try growing out your beard, maintaining it, and giving it a
go. If it doesn’t work in your favor (but more than likely it will), just shave it off.
Kick It Right
What’d we say about orthopedic shoes? Not until you are three feet into your grave do you need
to be wearing some funky footwear. If you need the support, buy those insoles and place them
in your nice shoes, or get yourself a pair of sweet sneakers because sneakers are for every
age. However, as you get older, stay on the more subtle side of the color wheel and leave the
vibrant shades alone.
Keep the Closet Classic
Jeans that fit, a nice shirt that isn’t wrinkled, a nice overcoat. These are all basic and classic
items that anyone can pull off. If you try and go above and beyond, you may be seen as trying
too hard to appear young, or if you don’t try hard enough people will just write you off as a
“forever frat boy.” You want to dress in the classics that are timeless and really, have no age to
them.
Work It Out
Keeping active has so many benefits from aiding your health to keeping you looking and feeling
great! So even if you can’t keep up with the gym as you get older, make sure to stay busy. That
can mean several things, having a hobby that isn’t centered around sitting, increasing your
nature time, or just taking a walk every night.
