Hey there, AC family! Let's talk about something we've all experienced: the rollercoaster ride that is modern dating apps. While they've certainly opened up new avenues for meeting people, they've also brought their fair share of challenges. Here are five ways dating apps have taken a turn for the worse.

Entitlement

Ever get bombarded with messages and then ghosted when you don't respond within five minutes? Yeah, us too. It's like some guys expect us to be glued to our phones 24/7 just waiting for their text. Newsflash: we have lives outside of dating apps, too!

Raw Obsession

Don't get us wrong, we're all about exploring our sexuality, but there's a time and a place for everything. It's frustrating when some guys assume that everyone's down for raw sex from the get-go and then disappear into the abyss when you mention protection. Safety first, people!

Too Much Kink

To be clear, of course everybody has a fetish and honor and support them! We love a good kink as much as the next guy, but sometimes we just want a straightforward hookup without all the bells and whistles. It seems like everyone has their own specific three-hour esoteric fantasy these days, and finding someone who's on the same page can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Demanding Too Much Time

Between work, friends, and self-care, our schedules are already packed to the brim. So when someone on a dating app demands all our free time right off the bat, it's a major turn-off. Can't we just enjoy some casual dating without feeling like we're signing up for a second job?

Sketchy Guys!

Last but not least, let's talk about the sketchy characters who lurk on dating apps. From catfishers to ghosters to downright creepy individuals, it sometimes feels like we need a full-time detective just to navigate the online dating scene. Can't we all just be honest and respectful?

So there you have it, folks: five ways dating apps have gotten worse. But hey, it's not all doom and gloom. Despite the challenges, we're still hopeful that we'll find our perfect match out there in the digital wilderness. Until then, stay safe, stay sassy, and keep swiping with caution!
