Of course, not everyone engages in one-night-stands (or one-hour-stands, as the case often is), but regardless, the effects of hookup culture have rippled into the monogamous dating scene as well. So wether you believe that you're dating or just fucking, you should be wary of these seven unwritten rules:
1. Prepare to be Ghosted
Ghosting has become an unfortunate reality of of dating in 2022. We all know it sucks, it's painful, and that it's simply just going to happen. We always advocate for good communication and breaking up honestly is always going to be better. But the fact of the matter is if you're dating and hooking up, you should steel yourself against the prospect that you will be ghosted at least once. Don't stress over it too much, it's not the end of the world!2. They're Probably Not In Love With You
No matter how intimate and dirty you're getting with him, no matter how much time you've spent together, it's best practice to assume that your relationship is totally casual. Those kisses may feel nice, but he's probably not in love with you. Don't get too attached too early. As the old saying goes, never date on the first fuck.3. Sex Isn't Everything
He may be fucking you better than you've ever been fucked before, but that doesn't mean it's time to get married. You may be perfectly compatible in the bedroom, but that doesn't mean it's time to move in. Sex isn't everything.
